OneAgent files and logs on Linux

You may at some point want to access the installed OneAgent binaries, configuration files, and log files (for example, for support purposes). Here's where you can find these files.

Installation

By default your DESK OneAgent is installed in the following directory:

  • /opt/desk/oneagent

Apart from the files that are installed at /opt/desk/oneagent , extra files are also installed:

  • Startup scripts are installed at /etc/init.d.
  • One of the Linux OneAgent components, liboneagentproc.so, is located in the system library directory (/lib or /lib64 depending on your architecture) and is enabled at /etc/ld.so.preload.

Log files

Log files are stored by default at /opt/desk/oneagent/log.

OneAgent log files are rotated automatically. Typically, the 5 most recent log files are retained (max. size per file is 10MB). When low disk space is detected, an alert for the host is raised. All logs except the installation log and the file that logged the reason for the disk cleanup are then deleted. Low disk space is detected automatically or based on custom settings. To edit the low disk space threshold, open Host settings, go to Anomaly detection and change the settings in the Disk section.

Configuration files

Configuration files are stored by default at /var/lib/desk/oneagent/agent/config
