Citrix virtual Apps and Virtual Desktops

The Citrix Virtual Apps and Virtual Desktops OneAgent extension is available as a Preview. To enroll, contact a DESK ONE product specialist by clicking the chat button in the upper-right corner of the DESK menu bar.
Extension installation

Obtain the install file (
CitrixAgent.zip
) and extract its contents. -
Navigate to the DESK web UI and generate the Beacon URL and the Application ID. You can get it by creating a new custom application (click Deploy DESK and then Monitor a custom application). Provide a descriptive name and select your preferred icon.

Click Settings, the Add new technology monitoring button, and finally the Add OneAgent plugin button.

Click the Upload plugin button and upload
custom.python.citrixAgent.zip
. -
Ensure that the Visual C++ redistributable is installed on the Citrix server before installing the Citrix Agent. The latest version of
vc_redist.x64.exe
can be downloaded here -
Install the OneAgent on the Citrix server.

Install the Citrix Agent on the Citrix server:
- Default UI installation: Double click on the .msi to start the UI driven installation.
- Silent installation:
msiexec.exe /i CitrixAgentInstaller.msi /[quiet/passive] BEACONURL=["endpoint url"] APPLICATIONID=["application_id"] INSTALLDIR=["installation dir"]

Once Citrix Agent is installed, it can take up to 24 hours to get the first user session as it requires a new Citrix session to start.

The following metrics are captured by the extension:
- Open sessions
- Active sessions
- Latency
- Output session bandwidth
