Uninstall OneAgent on AIX
Your DESK OneAgent has a dedicated uninstall program. You'll need to run it to remove OneAgent from your system.
Go to the /opt/desk/oneagent/agent
directory and, using root rights, run the uninstall.sh
script.
Remove all $DT_HOME
and all the other variables you set on your AIX system to install OneAgent. Remove settings related to OneAgent from the system cofiguration files you modified because of the OneAgent installation. For reference, see How do I install OneAgent on AIX?.
Restart the system.
Delete OneAgent binary and its directory, by default it's /opt/desk/oneagent
.
Following uninstallation
Following uninstallation, log files and part of the configuration are preserved in the OneAgent installation directory. These can be removed manually. Note however that if the configuration files have been removed, and OneAgent is re-installed, the host will show up as a new host with a different internal identifier.
For a complete OneAgent unistallation, remove the following:
- Log files located at
/opt/desk/oneagent/log
. - Configuration files located at
/var/lib/desk/oneagent/agent/config
. - Clear the
LDR_PRELOAD
and theLDR_PRELOAD64
environment variables.
