Get started with Android monitoring

Prior to instrumenting OneAgent, you need to create a mobile application in your monitoring environment through which you will be able to monitor your actual mobile application:

1. Select Deploy DESK in the navigation menu.
2. Click the Set up mobile monitoring button. You'll be redirected to a page where you enter the name of your mobile application.
3. Once you've provided a name for your app, click Create mobile app. This step creates a new mobile app within DESK.

Next steps

Subsequently, you can instrument your app via DESK auto-instrumentation and customize it using the auto-instrumentation properties.

In case auto-instrumentation doesn't fit your requirements, you can use manual instrumentation to fully customize instrumentation.
